Lasswade Country House green award

Lasswade Country House and Restaurant owners Roger and Emma Stevens of Llanwrtyd Wells have won in London at the Considerate Hoteliers Association’s Hotel of the Year Awards prestigious annual event.

The awards celebrate the best in sustainability, environmental and socially responsible performance and all UK small accommodation operators and hotels can participate.

A new award was given to the Stevens’ the Considerate Small Accommodation Provider of the Year for 2010/11, at the Savoy in London at the annual presentation lunch. The award goes to the small accommodation provider with 10 rooms or less that is considered to proven to be the most inspirational for their green journey in 2010 and made significant achievements without all the resources big business has.

Lasswade Country House is no stranger to the awards having won three years in succession for the CHA’s Sustainable Food Award. The House was established in 2001 by the Stevens and is an eight bedroom hotel with incredible views and has two AA Food rosettes.

The Lasswade Country House won a Green Tourism Business Award in 2010 and has been for nine years an Eco Tourism Business leader. The hotel is a long standing member of Mid Wales Tourism.
